Oceanair has been honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. This is the fourth time the Company has been recognised for excellence, following receipt of the award in 2001, 2005 and 2008.

Announced today (Saturday 21 April), Oceanair is one of only 230 organisations nationally to be recognised for its achievements in enterprise. Oceanair was founded in 1990. Now, employing over 200 people, Oceanair has served the Global Marine industry with bespoke blinds and soft furnishings for over a quarter of a century. In the past decade, Oceanair has broken into other markets, including Superyacht, Luxury Home, Commercial and Recreational Vehicle. In 2017 the company was acquired by Dometic - Global leaders in Mobile living, which goes to strengthen Oceanair’s presence in these sectors.

Managing Director and former owner Andy FitzGerald had this to say about having received the honour; “2018 has been a fantastic year for Oceanair so far, having made substantial advances to our manufacturing facility,

Now in its 52nd year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country; Oceanair will celebrate its achievement during a royal reception for Queen’s Awards winners in the summer and a visit from the lord lieutenant in due course.
